The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s Fish and Wildlife Research Institute is committed to a diverse workforce that reflects the labor market in Florida. We seek to fill positions with caring, qualified individuals who want to make a contribution to the goal of protecting, conserving, and managing Florida's fish and wildlife resources.
The institute recruits scientists and technicians. In addition to the need for scientific and technical staff, the everyday administration and maintenance of the facility requires the expertise of qualified clerical, administrative, and maintenance staff.
OPS is temporary employment intended for short-term duration, usually on a grant-funded project. OPS employment does not provide benefits. However, it is a great way to gain experience and expand your network of fish and wildlife research professionals.
