About the MarineQuest School Daze ProgramSee baby redfish at MarineQuest School Daze
Every year, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s (FWC) Fish and Wildlife Research Institute (FWRI) hosts MarineQuest, a free open house for the public. But before the open house, FWRI holds a special version of MarineQuest called "School Daze." This event is open to students in grades 4 through 12. Attendance is by registration only. Students have the opportunity to tour lab stations managed by FWRI scientists. Vibrant exhibits with hands-on displays and activities draw students into the world of marine science and the fascinating things that FWRI scientists discover.

Tour Sessions
Five tour sessions are offered on each of the two days of the School Daze program. The first tour session begins at 9 a.m. and is completed by 11:30 a.m. Subsequent sessions begin at the top of each hour (10 a.m., 11 a.m., 12 noon, and 1 p.m.). Each tour lasts for two-and-a-half hours. The last session ends at 3:30 p.m. We recommend that you arrive at the institute no later than 15 minutes before the tour is scheduled to begin.

MarineQuest 2008
MarineQuest School Daze 2008 will be held on Thursday, April 17 and Friday, April 18.
